Funifynote
Privacy Policy
How Funifynote handles browser storage, analytics, contact messages, technical logs, and open source library notices.
Overview
Privacy Policy overview
Funifynote provides browser based utility tools, calculators, generators, lookup pages, and guides. This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you visit the site or use its tools.
The site is designed to keep most tool inputs and saved preferences in your own browser whenever possible. Some standard third-party services, such as analytics and hosting infrastructure, may process technical information needed to operate, protect, and improve the site.
Personal Data
1. Personal data you provide
Funifynote requires a verified Google account and a separate local lock password to open notes. For Google sign-in, Google asks for permission to share your basic profile, including your account identifier, name, and verified email address. Funifynote uses this information to display your connected account. The signed Google ID token is stored in this tab's sessionStorage so other Funifynote pages can verify the same account. Its signature and validity are checked on each page; remembered email alone never establishes a login. Signing out removes the token, and closing the tab ends this browser session. A non-secret signed-out marker in localStorage prevents automatic sign-in after logout and informs other open pages. When a token expires or no valid session exists, Google One Tap may ask you to confirm your account again. Funifynote does not receive your Google password.
Drive authorization is separate from Google sign-in and uses the drive.file scope. Before unlocking, Funifynote checks the account's security.json. After unlocking, it checks Drive changes without uploading local edits. Explicit setup, password change and reset can update shared security settings. Sync and sync-before-sign-out upload notes and attachments to your own FunifyNote folder. OAuth access tokens stay in page memory. Local titles, bodies, previews, tags, source URLs, queues, conflict copies, and cached attachments are encrypted with AES-GCM. Your shared lock password wraps a random data key and is never sent to Drive. security.json stores only the encrypted wrapped key, salt, KDF parameters and key/security versions so your devices can use the same password. Password changes preserve the data key; resets create a new key generation and rebuild the encrypted cache from Drive. Drive JSON and recovery revisions are readable in your Google account; this feature does not provide end-to-end encryption of Drive data. Forgotten-password recovery keeps the old encrypted cache and requires fresh Google verification and consent. Unsynced changes still require the old password or an encrypted backup. Existing plaintext legacy storage is preserved until you explicitly manage its backup/removal. Plain JSON exports are unencrypted copies you choose to download. Sync must succeed before voluntary sign-out; Lock on this device conceals notes without implying Sync. The notes workspace does not load Google Analytics. Other public pages may use it.
If you contact us by email, the email address, message content, and any information you choose to include may be used to read, manage, and respond to your request.
Browser Storage
2. Local storage and IndexedDB
Some Funifynote pages may use browser storage, including localStorage or IndexedDB, to remember interface settings, theme preferences, recent tool results, or Funify Notes content. This data is saved on the device and browser you are using.
- Theme and interface preferences: These may be stored so the site can reopen with your preferred display mode or recent settings.
- Tool results and notes: Some calculator results can be saved into Funify Notes in your browser storage for convenience.
- Clearing data: You can remove locally saved information by clearing site data in your browser settings or by deleting records inside the relevant tool, where supported.
Analytics
3. Analytics, cookies, and technical logs
Funifynote uses Google Analytics to understand aggregated site usage, such as page views, traffic sources, device categories, and general interaction patterns. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies according to Google's own policies and browser settings.
Hosting, content delivery, security, and analytics providers may also process standard technical information such as request time, browser type, device information, referring page, approximate region, or IP address. This information is used for operation, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, performance measurement, and site improvement.
Funifynote does not use analytics data to identify you personally, and it does not sell personal information to advertisers.
Third Parties
4. Third-party services and external links
Some pages may load third-party scripts, fonts, maps, charts, images, analytics tools, or open source libraries depending on the tool you open. External websites linked from Funifynote are controlled by their own operators and are not covered by this Privacy Policy.
When you follow an external link, review the privacy policy and terms of that external service before entering information or relying on its content.
Licenses
5. Open source libraries and license notices
Funifynote uses open source JavaScript libraries across different pages. The exact libraries loaded may vary by tool. We acknowledge and comply with their respective licenses.
